Eclipse of the moon

A total eclipse of the moon, visible across North America, occurred on the evening of February 20, 2008. This photo was taken from my back yard at 10:23 p.m. EST on a cold and clear winter night. It was the third lunar eclipse in less than a year. The next one occurs December 21, 2010.
